Pros and Cons of Blogging

Every person wants his unique identity in this digital world. To gain this identity he uses social media networking services or starts blogging. Blogging is nothing; it is just like a diary entry in earlier times. But with the advancement in technology and time, it becomes one of the alternative to provide information on anything what the author likes and a source to earn money. You can start your own blog with Wordpress, BlogSpot, etc. because they provide free services and an interface to express yourself. When you starts blogging, you have to decide your area of interest, i.e., what information you want to provide to the visitors who come across to your blog through any search engine. As no one knows about you and your blog because you are not an celebrity or popular person. Too many new bloggers not able to decide how to write and what to write so they will not be able to continue with the blogging. There are some pros and cons of blogging which is being described below:-

Pros:-

1. Requires No Web Designing Knowledge

Truly speaking blogging doesn’t require any web designing skills and languages such as HTML, PHP, CSS, etc. There is no need of learning these languages and without knowing these you can build your own website by just installing the Wordpress. Many of the Web Hosting service providers now provide Wordpress Hosting and it is very easy and simple to install.

2. Share Knowledge

By doing blogging you can share knowledge on the topics what you like and provide useful information to others. Providing information to others, you also help yourself in gaining information on that particular topic or application. The funda of blogging is Write More and Learn More.

3. Increases Creativity

Blogging increases creativity in you and motivate you to explore more things on your favorite topics. It also increases your typing speed and improves internet knowledge, i.e., helping you to find exactly what you are looking for by typing the exact keywords.

4. Way to express yourself

Blogging is the area where you can express yourself in the virtual world and helps you in gaining fame, status and popularity. Here you can justify yourself by writing about your personal beliefs and thinking and no one will stop or restricts you.

5. Unique Content

Always write unique content in your blog because this helps you in gaining your individual identity in this digital world. It is easier for you to write unique content on your favorite area of interest. Do not use copy and paste method as it creates problem for you.

Blogging helps you in marketing your product. Suppose you have a company and want to launch a new product and wants to spread it among the number of users, then internet is a better place for marketing. There are a number of social networking site such as twitter, Facebook, etc.

Always blog for right reason. Do not create any havoc and panic in any form. As you have already decided your area of blogging stick it to that area and try to work on that area, does not deviate from it.

8. Financial Gain

As the time has changed, now blogging becomes the new field of making money in seconds. If you have a genuine amount of traffic ad a good page rank on Google and you can earn money through ads (Google ads).

As you have specific area of interest, if some company wants to promote his product, he provides you it in the form of ads and by placing that add on your blog you can earn money from it.

Cons:-

1. Easy to Start and Hard to Maintain

It is easy to start anything but most difficult to maintain it. If you want to do blogging then you have to be consistent and be regular in your work. Most of the blog die due to irregularity and inconsistent work performance.

2. Requires a Lot of Time

Blogging requires a lot of time and most of the time is wasted in searching and writing the content. You will lost your social life, work whole night, not be able to sleep properly and this creates a panic in your life.

3. Loss of Privacy and Security

Most of the people have personal blog and if they update, which is personal then anyone can gain access on it and creates blunder in your life. It is advisable not to update such things. Security is the main concern of any blog because if you not able to secure than anyone can access your account and use it in anyway. Try to keep your username and password confidential.

4. Don’t Want to Loose Your Popularity

You never want to loose the traffic you generated and the popularity you gained in this virtual world. If you don’t have time, then you can put anything which is not useful for anyone, this thing will not work and you loose your visitors in seconds.

5. Never Compete With Anyone

In Blogging field never compete with anyone just do your own work.

6. Never Paid if You Write Useless

You will not be paid for anything if you write anything useless and unnecessary.

7. Do Not Try to Write Book

Most of the authors started writing their book, please don’t try this.

8. Requires Knowledge of Computers

If you have your own self hosted blog then you have to gain information on computers, server, software, scripting languages and lots of other information.

Conclusion:-

Truly speaking, blogging is not for everyone. As it requires time, determination, motivation and hard work to manage, update the blog everyday and only few of them will be able to do this. The more you blog, the more traffic you get and more chance to earn money while sitting in front of computer. And one more important thing about bloggers is that, they have attitude problem.
