Now we come on the original topic, i.e., Advantages of Add-on Domain. Below are the few benefits/advantages of adding add-on domains.
Advantages
- On same hosting account you can create multiple domains, i.e, websites or blogs
- One of the major benefits is that you can save money because you have to pay for only one hosting.
- They share common resources with your main site.
- No need to worry about your primary domain FTP because add-on domain has its own FTP manager. It also has separate site stats, cg-bin respectively.
- You can upload pages, images, scripts, forums, etc. to your add-on domain directory.
- Add-on domain can be accessed by using various websites.
- You can promote several sites with just single hosting account by using different keywords.
Above all I have sighted some of the advantages/benefits of add-on domain but it also has its disadvantage and this disadvantage is serious if you didn’t take care of it. This disadvantage will blacklist your site by Google.
Disadvantage
It creates duplicate content issues.
The way to come out with this problem is to keep your all links separate don’t mesh up all the things.
