The most important part of blogging these days is commenting without this none of the blogs grow. Commenting on others blog can be done for fun, sharing information and knowledge or showing a respect/gratitude for a great post. Actually, any great post does not wait to be on top of the popularity chart, but needs some marketing and anticipation so that, what the people thinking about it and it helps a blogger, that he will be able to provide the correct content or not. In the present scenario of blogging, comments will become as an “Asset or Valuable Material”.
Now the question arises how do I keep a track of all my comments? No need to worry, Wordpress will provide so many plugins that deal with the comments you receive on your blogs.
The question is that what will do you with comments that you receive? Again the answer to this question can be given in simple words by saying, “you can do a lot with comments such as live commenting, threaded comments, silent (whispered) comments, comment scoring and much more”.
Wordpress plugin used for comments, involve some editing and modification of Wordpress theme so be careful in using all these plugin. So, the 10 plugins are as follows:-
It is one of the most popular comments-related plugin. It allows readers to subscribe to comments on a specific post to be notified by email of new comments. Most Wordpress bloggers really love this, believing this is a major draw to get return visitors. This plugin includes a full-featured subscription manager that your commenter’s can use to unsubscribe to certain posts, block all notifications, or even change their notifications e-mail address.
This plugin is very useful because this closes comments on blog entries after a certain time period decided by a user. It has options which allow you to keep the discussion open for longer on older posts which have had recent comments accepted, or to override the timeout on a post-by-post basis.
3. Bad Behavior
Bad behavior is a PHP-based solution for blocking link and the robots which deliver spams. Actually it acts as a gate keeper, preventing spammers from delivering their junk. It prevents spambots from accessing your site by analyzing their HTTP requests. This helps your blog free from spam, helps in decreasing the load of your blog, makes your site logs cleaner and prevent denial of service conditions caused by spammers.
Edit comments XT allows commenter’s to edit their own comments. To edit a comment, a user must have the same IP address used in making a comment. By default, the edit time is set to 30 minutes but it can be changed in options page, so the user has to edit it in a specific period of time.
5. BlogFollow
This is a great plugin because it helps you in increasing web traffic to your blog. BlogFollow shows a snippet from a commentator’s blog at the bottom on their comment. The purpose of this is to encourage user participation in your blog, by providing an incentive-an expert from their blog by this both parties win. The blog using BlogFollow receives more comments/content. The commenter has chance to win new readers using both the comment and snippet from their blog, which may be completely unrelated to the post topic.
Comment relish is a very useful plugin to send an email message to users on your website who have never commented before. This plugin helps you in increasing the traffic on your blog. With the help of this plugin you can give a quick thank you for the comment, a link back to the post and blog and a mention of their RSS feed, etc. so that the readers will be notified what else is going on your blog.
This is an attempt to gain return readers and possibly subscribers.
The BackType Connect finds conversations related to your content and allows you to display the associated comments with your own comments. Existing conversations about your content taking place across the web can now be displayed right on your blog for your visitors to read and respond to. It works on top of your existing Wordpress comments, both threaded and no-threaded.
Currently, it supports conversations from
Twitter-tweets that link your posts
Friendfeed-on the entries for your posts
Digg-on the submissions for your posts
Reddit- on the submissions for your posts
Hacker News- on the submissions for your posts
Other blogs – whenever someone links one of your posts
Disqus, pronounced “discuss”, is a service and tool for web comments and discussions. The Disqus comment system can be plugged into any website, blog, or application. Disqus makes commenting easier and more interactive, while connecting websites and commenter’s across a thriving discussion community.
9. CommentLuv
Comments are a wonderful thing to receive on your blog. This plugin fetches the feed found at the commenter’s site URL while they type their comment and extracts the last blog post title with link and displays it below the comments form. When they submit their comments, the last blog post link gets added on the end of their comment for all to see.
10. Comment Notifier
Comment notifier lets a reader to comments on a specific post when he leaves his own comment. Emails will be sent to notify new comments are being made on that post. Hence, subscription is post based. The subscribe check box can be added automatically or manually.
I have not covered all of them, so please include your favorites and why in the comments below. If you like this article don’t forget to subscribe to blog feed. Don’t forget to share this post via various social media sites.

Hey Vivek, I guess you’ve missed out to add IntenseDebate. It’s a comment management tool similar to Disqus, but far better than Disqus when it comes to support. Cool list, by the way.
Thanks Joseph for sharing your valuable views and appreciating my efforts. I have never tried Intense Debate till now. Disqus is used by many popular blogs including mashable and many others.
